Golf - 12:00 Shotgun Start(s) - Plantation and Oakridge Courses
Post Play Events, Party, and Dinner - Plantation Clubhouse
 
 
Playing Format  
  • Players may form their own foursomes or you will be paired
  • Match Play (Best ball of 2 women vs. Best ball of 2 men in foursome)
    • 90% of handicaps
    • 2 points awarded for each hole (2 for win, 1 for half, 0 for loss)
  • Women will play from either the Plantation or Skidaway tees
  • The gender with the most total points across all teams is the 2014 Battle of the Sexes Winner
  • Open to all TLC members
  • Must have a registered handicap
  • Noon Shotgun Start
  • In case of a rain-out during play, the party will just start early.  Total holes completed will be added to determine the winner
  • In case of a total rain-out, the party will start at 4 pm.
 

Closest to the Pin Prizes on Par 3 holes include:

  • $250 gift certificate from Noble Fare
  • $100 gift card from Ele/Tangerine
  • $50 gift certificate from Village Hair Design
  • $75 gift certificate from The Olde Pink House
  • $50 cash
  • $50 gift certificate from A.lure
  • $50 gift certificate from 45 Bistro
 
Post-Play Events - The format for post-play is focused on providing acclaim for the victors and some humor for the losers.  The event will include:
  • Cash Bar
  • Viewing Party for Final Day of the Fed Ex Cup
  • Dinner
  • Raffle
 
Cost:  $25 per person
 
To Benefit The Landings Club Employee Needs Fund
 
Our charity for this event is The Landings Club Employee Needs Fund.  (Please click here to learn more about this important Fund that supports our staff in times of special needs.)  The event will provide funding for the Fund from several different sources:
  • The net proceeds of the event will go to the Fund
  • All event participants will be encouraged as part of their registration to contribute directly to the Fund.  (That is why the cost is so low!!)
  • Event players will be able to buy mulligans and all proceeds will go to the Fund.
  • At the dinner, there will be a raffle during which TLC professionals have volunteered a round of golf for three players with all proceeds going to the Fund.
