The Day’s Events Will Be:

1:15 pm – Golf Outing on the Palmetto Course. Stableford Scoring (normal signup)

5:30 pm -- Men’s Dinner immediately following golf and featuring: 

• Manly fare for Dinner (Member Bar)

  • Roast Steamship Carving Station

  • Pasta Station

  • Shrimp Cocktail

  • Meatballs

• Presentation by Mr. Clyde Johnston

• Complimentary cigars and adult beverage tastings following Mr. Johnston’s presentation

Mr. Johnston's presentation will include:

• His firm’s approach to the design and renovation of golf courses

• Thoughts about the courses at The Landings

• Plans for the redevelopment of the Palmetto course

• Q & A at the conclusion.

Clyde Johnston founded Clyde Johnston Design in 1987 and is intimately familiar with the Landings having done the 2005 renovation of the Palmetto course. Over the past 27 years, he has undertaken more than 60 golf course projects across the southeastern US. Prior to forming his own firm, Johnston worked for Willard C. Byrd and Associates for 12 years. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University in Environmental Design in Landscape Architecture. His father was a PGA professional in North Carolina and Clyde grew up working in all aspects of course maintenance and operations. More details at www.clydejohnston.com.
